Don Mattingly is a former Major League Baseball player and manager, who spent his entire playing career with the New York Yankees. He was a beloved figure in the sport, known for his leadership, work ethic, and quiet demeanor.

One of the most memorable moments of Mattingly's career came in the 1984 season, when he was still a relatively unknown player. The Yankees were playing the Texas Rangers in a game that would prove to be pivotal in their season. Mattingly was up to bat with the bases loaded, and the Yankees were down by three runs.
